This series gathers photographs of public places that could have been full, busy, occupied — and that, for a brief instant, were empty.
Squares, streets, stations, corridors, facades, places of passage. Spaces built for meeting, for circulation, for human presence. And yet, for one almost improbable moment, silent.
We live in a world ever more crowded, ever faster, saturated with information. Emptiness has become rare — and perhaps for that very reason it has taken on new meaning.
These photographs do not speak of absence. They speak of breathing room.
Of the brief instants when the world seems to slow just enough for us to simply look.
